Volunteer For the 2011 Jamis Karapiro Half Ironman
Interested in being a part of a big sporting event but don't want to train? here is your opportunity to enjoy the occassion and make a contribution at the same time!
We are always looking for members of the community who are keen to help out in some way. Even at big events it is volunteers who make it happen and we appreciate the help that people provide.
We need marshals to direct athletes, drink station teams (a great group job), drivers for lead and tail vehicles, transition marshals, swim leg kayakers and more.
You can be involved in this fantastic community event without having to train, sweat or wear togs in public.
For an event like the Karapiro Half Ironman to be successful we rely on the help of dozens of helpers who, behind the scenes, on the corners, at the drink stations, in transition, on the Lake and in Event HQ use their combined enthusiasm, skills and dedication to allow the competitors to put on the show.
If you volunteer we will be asking you to do a job (or jobs) as part of our organisation team. This may be for a short time or a long time, 1 day or 2 but we will make sure that you have as much fun as the competitors.
If you are keen to help out please fill out the form below and if you have any questions just email me - Errol Newlands at errol@karapirohalf.co.nz
Thanks!
Errol
